Attention Parents & Guardians
Prior to all scavenger hunts, the parent/guardian of the minor must sign a general liability waiver and release form. The purchase of a Thrill of the Hunt hosted scavenger hunt ticket acknowledges the parent/guardian signs on behalf of the minor. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at Game@thrillofhunt.com.
With all scavenger hunts, parents/guardians must remain onsite to keep track of their child(ren) and, of course to celebrate the child(ren)’s accomplishments. The events usually take a few hours so parents might want to bring a book or other quiet activity to occupy their time or join the activities. We encourage parents to be on hand to answer questions and support the learning experience. The parents can expect their child(ren) to work as part of a team and compete against other teams to complete questions and obstacles.
Since there is a competitive element to our scavenger hunts, we encourage parents to discuss winning and losing as well as good sportsmanship with their child(ren) prior to the event. It is important to be a good sport—win or lose.
Thrill of the Hunt believes children should accomplish the goal of learning while having fun. Thrill of the Hunt’s scavenger hunts are a combination of education and physical activity. The child(ren) will not need to bring anything for the events, unless instructed by the specific event details. Parents may want to come prepared for changes in weather, such as umbrellas, sunscreen, hats, and a change of clothes, etc. All tickets are final, rain or shine. Depending on the scavenger hunt, food, beverages and merchandise may be available for purchase.
Thrill of the Hunt also encourages capturing the day and keeping the memories via photographs and video, which can later be submitted to Thrill of the Hunt to be added to our Facebook Fan page and Pinterest page.
When signing up child(ren) for a scavenger hunt and accepting the terms and conditions, Thrill of the Hunt reserves the right to photograph and video the events including the participating children and adults, which may not actively participate but are bystanders. All footage shot and images photographed remain the property of Thrill of the Hunt Scavenger Hunt, LLC, and will NOT be sold for any reason. Thrill of the Hunt Scavenger Hunt, LLC has the right to use the media for future marketing efforts for Thrill of the Hunt without compensation.
By simply following these few guidelines, parents can help ensure that the child(ren) have a fun and exciting experience while participating in a themed scavenger hunt! If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at Game@thrillofhunt.com.
